Capt. David Bitters has had a diversified career over the past thirty years. While a student at Huntington University, he worked as the Assistant to the Professor or Ornithology.
After graduation, he worked two years as a photo lab manager, and shortly thereafter, launched his career as a commercial photographer, specializing in people, product, fashion, and aerial photography. His work has been published world-wide in editorial markets and he has done assignment work for numerous corporations.

In 1994 Bitters started guiding fishing and hunting clients on the side, while still handling photo assignments. He soon discovered guiding was another one of his passions and earned his U.S.C.G. Captain’s license, and started Baymen Guide Service, Inc. Running two companies kept him very busy doing what he loved most. During this time, Capt. Bitters started writing about the outdoors for several magazines and also completed his first book, “Doors To The Outdoors.”
Most recently, Capt. Bitters has launched Baymen Productions, a film company specializing in outdoors adventure. He is currently producing a national television show called “The Baymen Life with Capt. Dave & Gianna, a reality- based series about the men & women who make their living and recreation on the bays up and down the New England coast.
